Facial Care Services

45 Minute Complete Facial - $75

Thorough skin analysis, then a yummy facial including cleanse steam, exfoliate,

mask according to your skin needs.

1 Hour Indulgence Facial - $90

Relax for one hour while you get a full facial. Skin analysis,

cleanse steam exfoliate extract, serum infusion, mask

hydrate and head, neck and shoulder massage.

Hydrodermabrasion - $175

Hydrodermabrasion is the latest innovation in skincare. This treatment is an excellent

alternative to microdermabrasion which is harsher. This process breaks up the outer

layer of the skin to reveal a smoother, more even texture. It uses vacuum suction for

lymphatic drainage and stimulation, physical exfoliation with an abrasive tip, chemical

exfoliation and hydration with serums applied.

*this procedure is gentle and very relaxing without discomfort. After the treatment, skin becomes slightly pink and dewy.

What is Brow Lamination?

Ever dream of achieving that full, fluffy eyebrow look? Create symmetry and fullness with a brow lamination treatment.

Achieve your desired look for up to 6 weeks. This on-trend technique can be done by itself or opt to go for the full sculpting brow treatment.

The 45 minute Ultimate Brows Treatment realigns your brow hairs into your desired position, making them much easier to manipulate.

Add your desired color, then work with me to sculpt your desired shape. This is the ultimate brow make-over.

What is the Process?

Procedure:

Come with your brows clean with no make-up. Stop all retinol and exfoliating products 3-5 days prior.

You cannot do this treatment while on Accutane. A patch test will be done before the service is performed.

Breastfeeding is also a contraindication.

Consultation:

A full consultation with you will be performed, with brow mapping to discover your perfect brow style.

Step one: After cleansing the brows, your tech will place brows in an upward position using Brow Fix

to ensure all Brow Lamination solutions target the brow from the root to the tip. This solution holds

the brows in place throughout the treatment.

Step two: Brow Solution is applied to the brows.

This cream creates a chemical process that breaks down the bonds in each hair, allowing them to be manipulated into a new shape.

Solution is left on the brows for a predetermined time depending on the condition of the hair.

Step three: Brow Set is applied the brows.

This solution sets the hair in its new position. Solution is left on the brows for a predetermined

time depending on the condition of the hair.

Step four: Optional Tinting

Brows can be tinted to add color to the brows and to enhance the results of the treatment.

Step five: All traces of the products above are removed from the brows, then a Brow Serum

(a specially developed brow serum is applied to the brows to hydrate and condition the hair.

Step six: The brows are brushed into their desired position and shaped if desired. Brows can be brushed

up or brushed into a more natural shape.

Waxing Tips and Tricks

Before:

Let your hair grow for 3-4 weeks initially before you start waxing. The hair must be at least ¼ to ½ inch long, this ensures you a much cleaner wax. Before you come in for your service do not apply moisturizer. Do not use any exfoliating products 1 week prior to waxing. Then, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask questions. We are happy to help put your mind at ease. We want the experience to be as smooth as possible.

After:

Do not expose newly waxed areas to the sun or extreme heat. Your skin is now vulnerable and exfoliated leaving you more susceptible to burning and sensitivity. Use sunscreen to avoid hyper-pigmentation and damage. Hands carry lots of germs and oil. Please keep your dirty paws off the waxed area!.

Recommendations:

We highly recommend a few days after waxing that you start exfoliating the skin. It is not uncommon to get ingrown hairs from the service. Exfoliating and acne products can help with this issue. Exfoliating gloves work best and can be thrown in the washer for several washes. Ask your practitioner for product recommendations available at the studio.

Expectations:

Waxing hurts. The first time hurts more than the others. It gets easier the more consistent you wax. Expect to come back in 3 to 4 weeks. Staying consistent helps reduce reactions as your body acclimates. This also keeps the hair growing in at a slower rate. Expect service in a comfortable, supportive, clean environment.

Hello! I am excited to embark on this journey as an independent Esthetician @ Copper and Jade Salon. I have been in the beauty and wellness industry for over 18 years. I am a mom of two, and a former business owner. I am passionate about my life and my work. I started off at massage school at Twin Lakes College of Healing Arts here in Santa Cruz. I actually started massage as a self-healing journey. After realizing the effect massage can have on health, and state of mind, I knew that I had to share this with others. Massage provided relief for me on so many different levels. I was hooked and started work as a practitioner.

Years later, I became pregnant with my first of two boys and stopped practicing. I suddenly became sensitive to most skin care products and had extreme hormonal breakouts. It was reminiscent of my teen years of battling severe acne (very frustrating).

I started making my own products at home with all natural ingredients. I then decided to go to school for esthetics. I attended Paul Mitchell Skin Academy in Costa Mesa, CA. I received a scholarship to the International Dermal Institute for advanced education from there and continued to take classes. I then set out to find work.

I ended up working at Orange County’s premier waxing salon. I waxed at the Beehive for three years and our specialty was BRAZILIAN waxing and Brow waxing. To be productive I had to become fast and efficient (The speed waxing class came in handy!)

I moved back to Santa Cruz to raise my now young men, and decided to combine my waxing, skin care, and massage skills and work in a day spa. I worked at Serene Skin and Body for a year. I then moved to Scotts Valley Spa and Boutique for three years. During this time, I continued my studies in skin care. I also completed the Accounting/Business Degree at Cabrillo College. From there I went on to open my own business Bare Studio located in downtown Santa Cruz for 12 years.

The unfortunate event of Covid-19 pandemic led to me closing my space. It was bitter-sweet.

I have missed my clients dearly and am really looking forward to being in this new space with some truly amazing women. The owner Leah I have had the pleasure of working with and knowing for over 15 years.

I am so happy to support her and be a part of the new business Copper and Jade Salon located in the heart of Soquel Village.I love nutrition, skin care, business, and the holistic health care industry as well. Through all my education I have seen how integral all the parts of my past studies are to my happiness. I decided to take all the parts and combine them into my own business and share them with you!
